Abstract: Calcaneal quantitative ultrasonography is a common prescreening device for osteoporosis, but the benefits of QUS and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry are uncertain. In a Taiwanese population, we investigated the relationship between QUS and DXA. With the QUS and DXA T-score over the hip and spine, a total of 772 patients were enrolled, and demographic data was collected. QUS/DXA-hip was 0. 71 percent; the DXA-hip had the highest correlation coefficient. In a Taiwanese population, there was a clear correlation between QUS and DXA. This research established a significant association between QUS and DXA.

Purpose : The current research investigates the correlation between dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry and quantitative ultrasound parameters, as well as the intermethods agreement in active males. To determine the degree of agreement between bone mineral content regions determined from DXA and stiffness index, Intraclass correlation coefficients and Bland-u2013Altman plots were used. Moreover, the current research found no reliable intraclass correlation coefficients of DXA and QUS joint activity to assess bone health, according to a good intraclass correlation coefficient. Conclusion : The QUS device may be an appropriate alternative to testing bone health in active adolescent males.
