During feeding on infected plants, insects treated with either dsATP or dsGFP successfully obtained CYp and FDp. However, the average phytoplasma amount in dsATP insects was significantly lower than that measured in dsGFP samples, indicating a potential decrease of the pathogen multiplication when ATP synthase β was silenced.
