Development and characterization of a skin cell line from Chinese perch (Siniperca chuatsi) and its application in aquatic animal viruses.

A stable and reliable cell line can play a vital role in virus identification and isolation, functional gene detection, virus pathogenic process, and antiviral immunity research. A new cell line was developed from the skin of S. chuatsi's skin in the current research. In summary, the current research provided a new tool in the study of fish viruses and its interactions with the host.

Development of a fully automated analytical platform based on static headspace-gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry for the analysis of five N-nitrosamines in dried aquatic products of animal origin.

Background To minimize the potential health risks to consumers, trace N-nitrosamines in foodstuffs' rapid and sensitive monitoring methods were needed. For the analysis of N-nitrosamines in dried aquatic products of animal origin, an analytical platform based on one-step fully automated static headspace sampling and gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry was developed and validated in this study. The samples and sodium chloride solution mixture were incubated in a heated headspace vial for an analyte evaporation process, as well as automatic sampling and online GC-MS/MS analysis. Relative responses in dried aquatic product samples were within a range of 76. 9-92. 4% with relative standard deviations of 1. 9-7. 2%. Conclusion These findings also demonstrated that the authenticity of the designed method for further application in trace level testing of the target analytes in foodstuffs was confirmed by the testing.
