Are secondary school students accurate in forecasting examination efficiency? We examined these concerns in two testing contexts amongst students enrolled in a senior high school advanced positioning statistics course. We found that also 2 months prior to taking the exam, students were moderately exact in predicting their scores on the actual AP test. Results showed that students' predictions of performance were positively connected with performance in both low- and high-stakes screening contexts. The findings shed light on ways to utilize students' self-assessment for learning.
