Abstract We sought to investigate the effect of Rho nucleotide exchange factor 39 on the phenotypes of acute cell renal cell carcinoma cells and the underlying mechanism. The Cancer Genome Atlas' results showed that ARHGEF39 expression was upregulated in ccRCC and that elevated ARHGEF39 expression was correlated to a poor prognosis. The results showed that ARHGEF39 expression was upregulated in ccRCC cells relative to nontumorigenic cells. After being knocked down or overexpression of ARHGEF39, ccRCC cells were used to determine the viability of ccRCC cells.
