The role of expertise in the aesthetic evaluation of mathematical equations

"However, while some aesthetic experiences are primarily triggered by objects' sensory properties for mathematical equations, aesthetic judgements are also influenced by semantics and knowledge. " We found support for the assertion that mathematics majors demonstrate more consistent in their aesthetic judgements of equations u2014, reflecting a larger degree of shared variance owing to formal education in the field.

Cross-subject aesthetic preference recognition of Chinese dance posture using EEG

This paper investigates the neural basis of the human brain in the process of dance aesthetic choice and seeks a more objective determining criterion for dance aesthetic preference. " Specifically, Dai nationality dance was used to create dance posture samples, and an experimental framework for Chinese dance posture design was developed. The experimental findings revealed the following two facts: the occipital and frontal lobes are more stimulated and involved in dance aesthetic preference in China's dance posture's visual aesthetic processing, which is consistent with the widespread belief that the right brain is responsible for processing artistic functions.

Using genetic algorithms for music composition: implications of early termination on aesthetic quality

"The use of computer algorithms for music composition is on the rise. " These algorithms produce optimal music based on the criteria specified by composers, although music derived from these algorithms may or not be appealing. However, studies examining the correlation between the optimal music produced and music's aesthetic quality of music are lacking. "While GAs may be faster in terms of composition time, this does not mean aesthetic performance because there are no signs that GAs will achieve good aesthetics" early on.

Neural representations of visual aesthetic experience (VAE): a meta-analysis

"Researchers haven't decided on what constitutes visual aesthetic experience, and the present report reveals that visual aesthetic experience is made up of at least two aspects: enhanced visual processing and positive emotional and reward experience. " We applied a general activation likelihood estimation meta-analysis to 42 functional magnetic resonance imaging studies described in 37 published studies. During the passive viewing task under specific instructions to make aesthetic evaluations, greater growth in the anterior cingulate cortex/orbitofrontal cortex was demonstrated, according to a results report by a team analysis of passive viewing tasks and tasks with explicit instructions.

Donor site aesthetic and functional outcomes: comparison between radial forearm free flap and anterolateral thigh free flap

The anterolateral thigh free flap and the radial forearm free flap are two of the most common free flaps, and they often have overlapping indicators. The aim of the present study is to determine the aesthetic and functional consequences for the donor site in patients receiving ALT or RF flap harvesting. We used three scales from the literature: the Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale, the Manchester Scar Scale, and Liu and colleagues' donor site functionality questionnaire. At the University Hospital of Verona between February 2016 and September 2019, a total of 54 patients underwent ALT or RF free flap harvesting in the period between February 2016 and September 2019. The overall patient total score for the ALT flap and 9 for the RF flap was 16 for the patients'u2019 opinion of the POSAS scale. Compared to 9. 5 and 16 compared to 9, there was no difference in overall observer total score or in patients' opinion score between ALT and RF12, neither in overall observer total score nor in patients' opinion score between ALT and RF 12 nor in patients' opinion score between ALT and RF 12 nor in patients' opinion score between ALT and RF 12 nor in patients' opinion score between ALT and RF 12 nor in patients' opinion score between ALT and RF 12 The RF flap produced a significantly higher success with the VAS score when compared to the ALT flap. 94 percent of patients undergoing RF flap harvesting were content with the appearance of the forearm against 73% of patients with the ALT flap. Conclusions In this case series, the RF donor site produced marginally better aesthetic and functional results than the ALT donor site. ".

Aesthetic evaluation of multidimensional graphic design based on voice perception model and internet of things

"The traditional two-dimensional graphic design system has been unable to satisfy both the real needs of the client and the designer's design concept. " In the beginning of 2D plane design and the creation of a static solid interface in a 3D environment, a multidimensional graphic layout can be introduced. Graphic design under multi-dimensional vision is also on the subject of continuing study. This paper summarizes the voice perception model and Internet of Things related technology as well as a multidimensional graphic design aesthetic assessment system," says the author.

Aesthetic and functional restoration of the dental arch continuity in difficult cases of impacted teeth within the frontal segment

"Evaluation of the efficacy and safety of various treatment modalities in patients with impacted teeth within the maxilla's frontal segment. " The retrospective analysis covered medical findings in 81 patients with impacted teeth within the aesthetic group. Patients with the impacted tooth that was deemed for extraction were able to extraction, and the gap was filled and restored with an implant. With a mean efficacy of 58. 1% in 38 group 1 subjects 47 teeth were discovered with a mean efficacy of 58 percent. 100% efficacy was demonstrated in group 2 twenty-six adult subjects. In 56% of patients, bone block augmentation was successful, and in the remaining 34. 6%, implantation and augmentation with bone granulate were completed. Surgical intervention procedures in impacted teeth are efficient and provide high aesthetics of the patient outcome improvement by early orthodontic treatment of the concomitant malocclusion and augmentation of the vertical bone atrophy before implantation. ".

Patient Reported Outcome Measures for Functional and Aesthetic Rhinoplasty

"Purpose of Examination Rhinoplasty is the most common aesthetic and functional plastic surgery procedure in the United States. " Although the facial plastic surgeon can investigate before and after photographs or other objective measures, the patient's experience of the procedure is ultimately determined by the patient's perception of the surgical outcome. Patients' satisfaction surveys are now being used as a measure of healthcare quality. This review of PROMs used in facial plastic surgery will address aesthetic only measures, functional only measures, and those that incorporate both functional and aesthetic features.
