In addition, a plane-parallel radiative transfer model was used to calculate shortwave direct aerosol radiative forcing at composite and without BC at several levels, including the surface, atmosphere, and top of the atmosphere. The estimated BC flood in the driest monsoon years was much higher than that of normal monsoon years.
