Aim To establish and prioritize general education needs within general practice, including mental stability and psychotropic prescribing. Method 353 GPCPs and technicians were all in one health board when they were invited to participate in an online survey conducted in September 2021. Participants scored 26 tasks with regard to their competence in completing the assignment and their importance to their role. Clinical recommendations and literature were used to determine clinical outcomes and literature. 2 out of 3 respondents were unaware of early antidepressant response, dose-u2013response effects for toxicity, and that optimising therapy would take 8-12 weeks. Pharmacy technicians may be able to properly support practices and patients if these learning needs are addressed.
