Link Between Topographic Memory and the Combined Presentation of ADHD (ADHD-C): A Pilot Study

Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) have impairments in inhibitory control, monitoring of attention, planning, and working memory. Aim: The aim of this survey was to determine the topographic memory in children with ADHD-combined subtypes. Method: Fifteen children with a diagnosis of ADHD-C were compared to 15 children with normal growth of the same age. All children underwent Raven's colored progressive matrices survey to obtain a test that correlates with cognitive development. Results: During the TL test, a higher impairment was recorded in ADHD-C than TD, with significant differences in the WalCT, particularly on the topographic short-term memory task and the repetition number task. In the TL task in the WalCT case, no statistically significant differences were found between the ADHD-C group and the TD group.
