SMEs have not paid much attention to 5G technology, unlike the large corporations. In this report, we investigated Malaysian SME workers' views on 5G technology. However, there are serious doubts regarding the deployment of the 5G technology in Malaysia, and the Malaysian SMEs seem to have a wait-and-see attitude in deploying the 5G technology.

A Review of Radio Frequency Based Localisation for Aerial and Ground Robots with 5G Future Perspectives

The ubiquitous 5G NR cellular network would bring new opportunities to improve UAVs and UGVs' localization. The existing state-of-the-art literature on RF-based localisation for both UAVs and UGVs is examined, as well as the anticipated 5G NR for localization improvement and future research direction are explored.

Interference Analysis of 5G NR Base Stations to Fixed Satellite Service Bent-Pipe Transponders in the 6425–7125 MHz Frequency Band

The study that estimated the interference levels to the satellite bent pipe links was done to investigate this influence and see if 5G NR might have an adverse effect on the spaceborne receivers. The results of the study showed that coexistence of 5G NR and satellite systems in the 6425u20137125 MHz bands is likely, with no negative impact on the satellite links' results.

5G-Enabled Distributed Intelligence Based on O-RAN for Distributed IoT Systems.

Edge-based distributed intelligence technologies, such as federated learning, have recently been adopted in several academic fields, thanks in large part to their decentralized model building process and privacy-preserving capabilities. However, only a small number of FL applications have been developed for the new generation of public mobile networks due to the absence of good deployment strategies for the radio access network. In new RAN paradigms, there is a push by some organizations to shift toward disaggregation, hierarchical, and distributed network function processing designs. Open RAN, as a cutting-edge RAN technology, claims to provide 5G services with high quality. To provide distributed intelligence for 5G applications, this paper proposes a method for deploying and optimizing FL tasks in O-RAN. Using RAN intelligence controllers, we first provide reinforcement learning for each FL task and resource allocation using RAN intelligence controllers in order to ensure model training in each round.

Assessment of EMF Human Exposure Levels Due to Wearable Antennas at 5G Frequency Band

This research is intended to determine human exposure to EMF thanks to two separate wearable antennas tuned to two 5G bands. Methods: The first one was centered in the lower 5G band, about f = 3. 5 GHz, while the second one was tuned to the upper 5G band at 26. 5 GHz. This work illustrates the importance of doing an exposure evaluation before an antenna is attached to the human wearer, considering the increase of wearable technology and its wide variety of uses, especially in future 5G networks.
